Peep Show is a retro design series that focuses on the liquor stores, gas stations and sex shops that could be found around the urban and suburban landscapes of the New York and New Jersey area from the 1980s right up to the present day.
Evoking an entertainment era before the introduction of the internet and mobile phones, the series updates and merges both periods.
The genesis for this collection was a fine art project completed as part of my master’s degree in photography. Based on my large archive of images dating back to 1980, the project focused on Atlantic City at the time casino gambling was introduced – a time when Donald Trump was also buying up properties there.
The full series of original limited edition prints is available on Saatchi Art. The images are from my 2016 solo exhibition in the spring of 2016 titled “Enticement: Trump and the 1980s Transformation of Atlantic City”.
A few of the original retro black and white images are shown above, which are also available for licensing as wall art or on products.
